Competition Books For the 2023 McNicol Dean Award Available Soon

The Text Blocks for the 2023 McNicol Dean Award will be ready for purchase at the November Open Day. This year we have chosen a larger book than the last few years,
Around the World in Eighty Days, by Jules Verne.
This book comes in at 18 sections, of 4 pages per section so should allow for some great spine decoration!
Each text block will be $30, more than previous years because of its size. It will be printed on Mohawk Superfine paper all imposed and ready for binding.
The committee would love to see more people get involved in this great event. You don't need to be able to do a designer leather binding to be able to enter. I have long held that a very well bound case binding could possibly win, over leather bindings that may have a few errors.
Remember our bindery days are available to help you with any equipment that you may not have at home.
