Minimalist Flat Tightback Binding
Come try this binding as taught to us by Mark Cockram from Studio5BookArts, a specialist in book design methods.
This style of binding is ideal for thinner books but is very versatile. Once you’ve learned its essential features, you can use it to bind your own journals, artworks, calligraphy or photobooks.
Your book will have a simple leather spine. Use our decorative papers for your cover or bring your own to personalise your book (we will be making a book of A5 size).
Some bookbinding experience is preferred, but not essential. Please bring your regular kit of tools, an apron and your lunch. Specialist equipment will be provided for use or to share.
