Welcome to the QBG Auction & Sale information page.

Not long now folks! On Saturday 3rd August, Queensland Bookbinders' Guild is holding an auction and sale to clear some bindery items no longer required, and to help raise funds for the purchase of more equipment for members to use.

 

Auction Date: Sat 3rd August

Time: Doors open at 3pm for people to come and view the items being offered for auction and sale.

Location: QBG Bindery at The Hub, BVAC, 140 Weller Road, Tarragindi QLD
Payment: Payment on the day by card to QBG (sale of member items on the day are the responsibility of the seller)

We are also asking for some QBG Member volunteers to be spotters on the day; these people will stand around the crowd and make sure the auctioneer sees those who bid on items, and we'd also love a couple of volunteers to help get purchased items to people's car. If you can help in any way, please let Jenny know on jenny@jenesis.com.au

The auction will start promptly at 4pm. Those wishing to bid must register as a bidder on arrival, and will be given a bidding paddle - register on site no later than 3.45pm.

The auction is open to anyone who would like to come.

No reserve prices, no pre-auction sales

The decorative paper shown in the pictures is indicative, and will be sold in packs of 6.

 

There will also be a table of Guild items for SALE – mostly boxes of lead type and backing boards and a few other items.

We are also offering Members wishing to sell their own equipment an opportunity to do so on the day - there will be a couple of tables set up for these sales. Members wishing to sell their own items should arrive before 3pm to set up. Members will be required to manage their own sales and may need to be paid in cash, so bring your card and some dosh.


Welcome drinks on arrival, with pizza and drinks after the auction.

 

If anyone has any quality items they would like to donate to the Guild to be sold or auctioned, please contact Jenny New by this Sunday, 21st July on jenny@jenesis.com.au with an item description and photo.
